Weddings @ the Flavel

Wedding Receptions
If you are looking for a great, central venue in Dartmouth to hold your wedding celebrations then The Flavel is ideal.  

• Costs – Basic packages start from just £350 for the Auditorium, Bar and Lobby areas or you can go all out and hire the whole building, including The Studio and Green Room for £600.  Extra costs are small and each contract is dealt with on an individual basis, allowing you to plan a unique reception that meets your wishes and your budget.
• Personal Service - throughout the planning stages you will have Jenny Pichowski, who is our dedicated wedding planner, with you every step of the way. Jenny can help and advise you with the planning and successful management of your reception.  The Flavel will provide you with one point of contact and will answer any questions you have and assist you with any special requests you might have.
• Capacity – We can accommodate up to 100 guests seated or 180 unseated.  We have 10 large round tables and plenty of seats so that everyone can be seated in comfort and with plenty of space to move around.
• Access – We have full disabled access at the front of the building and a lift which serves all floors of The Flavel so there should be no issues of access for anyone who wants to come to your reception.
• Decoration – We have on site beautiful drop down globes and muslins (see picture) that transform our auditorium into the perfect setting.  These are included in the cost of hiring The Flavel.  But if you have special requests ask us, we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
• Catering Facilities - We have catering facilities on site for outside caterers to use, including the use of the Green Room for preparation.  We also have some tableware and can arrange tablecloths and napkins to suit your colour scheme.  Because our staff are all local we can help you find the perfect caterer.  If you want something served from the bar that we do not stock we can arrange to bring it in especially for you.  Bar staff are included in the cost of hire.  For a small extra cost we can organise for a late licence so that your party does not need to end too early!
• Entertainment - Most people want to have bands or discos for their receptions.  We have facilities for both including use of our theatre lights, which can be planned for your colour scheme, to create the perfect ambience.  The raked seating in our auditorium goes back flat against the wall allowing plenty of room for dancing the night away.
• Equipment Hire – If you require microphones for your speeches we have them available.  If required we can also provide a technician to help with any equipment needs you might have (there is a small extra cost for these services.
• Flexibility – We are always willing to be flexible here at The Flavel.  Let us know your ideas and we can help make them reality.  
• Unique – The Flavel is right in the centre of historic Dartmouth in the beautiful South Hams. It’s a great venue for people who want to have a great party in a relaxed atmosphere with minimal hassle in the planning stages.  Everything is in one place for you and our central location makes for easy access for guests, and we are near all the town centre accommodation. Our staff are incredibly dedicated and helpful and will go out of their way to make sure you have the reception you have always dreamed of.
