Performing at the Flavel live! Clare who has become famous not only for her singing, but also for having signed the biggest ever recording-deal by a British jazz singer, produces ‘music to melt to’, according to Jamie Cullum, and her latest album ‘Get Happy’ is simply superb, and worth raving about. Clare was born in Skipton in Yorkshire and was mad about music from a very young age. She got her first taste of the industry writing and singing jingles, and her first album ‘Don’t Talk’, won critical acclaim, most notably from Michael Parkinson. Clare presents the Big Band Special programme on BBC Radio 2 on Monday nights.
